Increasing record numbers

Graves High adds another AP Scholar

Graves County High School senior Miranda Oldham has earned the title of Advance Placement Scholar for scoring 3 or higher on at least three AP exams. A score of 3 qualifies students for college credit at most colleges and universities. Her achievement was omitted from an earlier news release, due to a clerical error. She brings to 13 the number of GCHS students who earned the designation of AP Scholar. Even at 12 honorees, the 2010-11 school year produced the largest number of AP Scholars in school history. Subsequently, the Graves County School District was designated as a member of the College Board’s Second Annual AP® District Honor Roll for significant gains in Advanced Placement® access and student performance. Only 367 districts were so honored nationwide this year.
