The fall season isn't just the turning of the trees, it also means that the Pelicans are migrating through the region. I was lucky enough to visit up close with about a hundred or so of them the other day at an LBL bay off the Tennessee river. If your out on the Barkley side of the LBL, the Cumberland river, it is not unusual to see very large groups of Pelicans out on the islands.
