Graves High sends 3 to All-State Choir

Graves County High School Advanced Mixed Chorus members, from left, Megan Durham, Hannah Latta, and Emily Duff recently were selected to participate in the soprano-alto choir of the Kentucky Music Educators Association’s annual state conference. Paducah Tilghman High School hosted the auditions. High school students from throughout the region performed an assigned song and a short sight reading selection. The SSAA Choir is comprised of the best female high school vocalists in the Commonwealth. “The director will be Crisi Miller. She is very well-respected in the music community with more than 21 years of experience in the classroom and countless honors and awards,” said GCHS choral director Emily Conyea. KMEA will hold its conference in Louisville in February. Selection to a KMEA All-State Choir is one of the greatest honors a high school choir student can achieve.
