Several Graves County High School students placed well recently in district Governor’s Cup competition with students from Mayfield, Ballard County, and St. Mary high schools. These GCHS students qualified for regional Governor’s Cup competition at Murray High School Saturday, Feb. 18. They include, from left, Preston Simmons, third place in social studies; Adrianne Sanderson, second place in arts and humanities and fourth place in language arts; Sara Barrett, fifth place in composition; Jonathan Goatley, second place in social studies and fifth place in science; Kadie Kinnis, fifth place in math; Chris Woods, first place in social studies and third place in language arts; and Shelia Marie Stacy, second place in composition.
