Graves County High School senior Kennedy Rogers (seated, center) recently signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Mid-Continent University in Mayfield. She said, “I’m looking forward to playing for Mid-Continent and coach Nicely.” She is flanked here by her mother, Cathy Rogers, who said, “She’s done a great job with balancing her grades and athletics” and her father, Mark Rogers, who said, “I’m really proud of Kennedy. She’s played for 12 years and has worked hard.” Pictured behind them, standing, are GCHS athletic director Doug Gloyd, who said, “She’s done a great job of helping coach younger girls in the feeder program;” GCHS coach Lee Watson, who said, “Kennedy has played varsity for four years. Ever since she’s been here, she’s been a leader;” and MCU head coach Brittany Nicely, who said, “We’re really excited to have her join us a Mid-Continent, to see her energy and the leadership she displayed when I watched her play. I’m just excited to get her on the court.”
