For memorial scholarship

Cornhole tourney March 17 at Graves High

An upcoming cornhole tournament will benefit a memorial scholarship. The Graves County High School Interact Club, a Rotary-sponsored service club for young people between the ages 14 and 18, will sponsor the event in memory of the late James Pryor.
He was an active member of the Graves County Rotary Club and a frequent and popular substitute teacher for many years. His wish was that in lieu of flowers, money instead would be donated to the Graves High Interact Club. In turn, the club has chosen to establish a scholarship in the name of James Pryor. It will be awarded to a Graves High senior who demonstrates outstanding leadership within both the club and the community.
The tournament will award prize money to the winners and will feature music and concessions. It will take place in the Eagles’ Nest Gymnasium, starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17. The entry fee is $30 per two-person team in advance or $40 at the door. To learn more, email or phone (270) 564-3579.
