Child Abuse Prevention

Graves students rally vs. child abuse

Graves County Middle School Ambassadors and Graves County High School Friends of Rachel Club members, in conjunction with the Graves County Child Advocacy Program, marked the beginning of April’s Child Abuse Prevention Month Friday morning, March 30. The students marched from the Green Center for Advocacy to the Graves County Courthouse steps, where District Judge Deborah Crooks read a proclamation honoring the occasion. Other aspects of the event included a balloon release and the “planting” of a pinwheel garden. The pinwheel is the symbol for child abuse prevention.
