Wingo DARE grads write essays

Graves County Schools’ resource officer and DARE instructor John Cavin stands behind the four top Drug Abuse Resistance Education essayists among the sixth grade class of Wingo Elementary School. They include, from left, Eden Jetton, Shaina Magness, Casey Papoi, and Courtney Williams. Cavin said he read every word of every DARE essay among his four classes at Wingo, Symsonia, Sedalia, and Fancy Farm. He said all essay writers are winners, not only for the quality of their writing, but also for the commitment they made to resist drugs, violence, and the harmful habits and temptations they’ll face as teenagers.
