Graves Hi newspaper wins state awards

The Eagle's Eye, the Graves County High School student newspaper, tied for second place in general excellence and five GCHS student-journalists won awards in the Newspaper Class 4A Division of the 2012 Kentucky High School Journalism Association competition. They include, from left, Sarah Watson, advertising, second place; Sara Barrett, newspaper photography, second place; and Shelia Marie Stacy, editorial writing, second place. GCHS 2011 graduates Rachel Smith won first place in advertising and Connie Moreland won first place in editorial cartoon and third place in sports writing.
