WGCE-TV, the student television station of Graves County High School, tied for second place in general excellence in the Class 4A Division of the 2012 Kentucky High School Journalism Association competition. Students who placed well in various categories included Gunner Reed, music video or short video, first place; Austin Lamb, Cody Beyer and Gunner Reed, videography, first place; Cody Beyer and Austin Lamb, newsmagazine, first place; Cody Beyer and Austin Lamb, humorous feature, second place; Chase Wooley and Reed Grimes, documentary, second place; WGCE Staff, newscast, second place; Austin Lamb and Chase Wooley, sports feature package, third place; Savannah Williams and Rachael McCracken, humorous feature, third place; and Tyler Adams, voiceover or voiceover/sound on tape, third place.
