Graves County High School student Rachel Wurth currently serves in the role of a youth ambassador for the Jackson Purchase Energy Corp. Co-operative. She and other ambassadors spent two days at the State Capitol in Frankfort this spring. They toured the Governor’s Mansion and met Gov. Steve Beshear. They also saw the Veterans’ Memorial there. The same group visits Washington, D.C., this summer. Wurth said her experience has been rewarding and that she encourages other teenagers whose families are members to apply for the program through the JPECC.
