The Murray Middle School Lady Tigers competed against 80+schools of all classes and over 1600 athletes at Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School in Lexington,Ky on Sat May 26th at the 2012 Ky State Championship Meet.
Led by 8th Grader Yasmine Homa's 1st place finishes in the Long Jump(15'11.25), Pole Vault(8ft)and 4x200(Homa,Ann Taylor,Cammy Fields and McKenzie Lamar-53.84) and Homas 2nd place finish in the 300 hurdles(50.15) the Lady Tigers came back with the CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY!
The Tigers also had runner up performances by Sarah McDowell-Discus(96'5") and the 4x100 team of Linda Arakelyan,Ann Taylor,Zan Speed and McKenzie Lamar-53.84.
Ann Taylor placed 3rd in the 200m(27.52)and Grace Campbell placed 4th in the Triple Jump(31'5.75")
