Venus as it begins its transit across the face of our Sun.

Venus Transit

Today, I set up my telescopes and CCd cameras to image and view the transit, or eclipse, of the planet Venus across the face of the Sun. This event only happens a few times every 120 or so years. This is the last transit until 2117. Several people came by my residence in Lamasco, KY, to take a peek at this extraordinary celestial event.
