My son is a fourth grader at Johnathan Elementary School in Benton, Ky. When my son heard of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School he was devestated to think that could have been his school, his friends, even his 5 year sister. Strucken by his dispare, I wanted to comfort him and help him express his sorrow and condolences. I went to the store and bought materials to make simple black ribbons for him and some of his friends to wear to school today and tomorrow. I know it probably doesn't seem like much, but he was proud to honor those gone, but never forgotten.
