Graves Co's Got Talent: PAC show Jan 26

‘Graves County’s Got Talent:’ See best performers from all ten schools in PAC at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26
Graves County’s Got Talent. That was a message America received in 2009 when Kevin Skinner became known as “The Chicken Catcher” and won the fourth season prize of $1 million on the NBC-TV show “America’s Got Talent.”
Now, the realization that “Graves County's Got Talent” is turning that sentence into its own show: an opportunity to highlight talented students from throughout the Graves County Schools. One student each will represent the eight elementary schools. Two will represent the middle school and three will represent the high school.
“I started working on this idea last year and thought it would be a great way to showcase our district's talent,” said Donna Gream, manager of the Graves County Schools’ Performing Arts Center. She continued, “I started getting in touch with each principal and each school held its own talent show or turned in a representative for our district-wide event.”
From its beginning, the PAC was intended to be available to serve the entire district. It has been the site of numerous shows presented for and by students from all ten schools.
“We are really excited about this,” Gream said, “and we’re looking forward to everyone coming out to support their school representatives!”
“Graves County’s Got Talent” will showcase the representatives from each school, presenting “The Best of the Best,” starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. They will go on sale at the PAC, located adjacent to Graves County High School, starting Thursday, Jan. 17.
Besides the single-event tickets, "Graves County's Got Talent" is part of the annual seasonal series of performances. Therefore, Seasonal Series tickets also are honored for the performance.
