Graves County Central Elementary School will present its first ever Fine Arts Family Fun Night at the school from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31.
Central alumni and local artists will lead an evening of engaging, interactive arts.
Central teacher Deena Green and her daughter and Central alum, Maddi Green, will offer opportunities to grow in and enjoy music.
Matt Sullivan will bring his guitar to lead some fun family sing-alongs.
Retired Graves County music teacher Cletus Murphey will teach ballroom dancing.
Local photographer Rhonda Keeling will take fun photos of the drama center, with students and their families wearing costumes and wigs, as they enjoy, learn about, and participate in acting and plays.
Graves County artist Ronn Moyers will lead instruction in the fine arts, including a lesson participants can make and take home.
Each student or family planning to attend is asked to submit the student’s name, grade and teacher, number from the family participating, and the fee of $2 per person or $5 per family to cover expenses for refreshments. That information on a form or other paper and the fee should be returned to Central Elementary’s front office. For planning purposes, it’s important to RSVP no later than Friday, Jan. 25.
