Cuba/Sedalia FRC director Michael Duncan

Michael Duncan of Sedalia recently accepted the position of director of the family resource center of Cuba and Sedalia elementary schools. “It’s an opportunity for me to reach out to the children in our community to help bridge the gap between education and their home life,” he explained. “We’re trying to remove the non-cognitive barriers to receiving the best education they can get.” Duncan worked for many years at Vanderbilt Chemical Plant in Murray. Five years ago, he decided to change careers and since then has earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and counseling from Mid-Continent University, near Mayfield. Duncan has a daughter, Allie Duncan, a 16-year-old junior at Graves County High School.
