Bedtime songs, stories show 7pm Sat.2/23

Graves County High School student Karlee Riley reads and sings from a storybook in a preview performance of “Starry, Starry Night,” as the girls’ choir listens. The show makes the perfect evening to relax and enjoy the music and drama of the talented students of the Fine Arts/Health Sciences Academy at the Graves County Schools’ Performing Arts Center. Performers and audience members alike are highly encouraged to come out for the show dressed in their coziest pajamas. The GCHS orchestra and choirs join together to make magnificent music. Drama students add their flair with poems and bedtime stories. Featured performances include both the men's and women's a cappella groups, the Graves County Chamber Orchestra, and a string quartet, among many others. “Starry, Starry Night” takes place at the PAC, located at the high school entrance nearest Ky. Highway 121 at Mayfield. The show goes on at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23. Tickets currently are on sale and will be available at the door as well. They’re priced at $6 for adults and $4 for students. Since the show is part of the Season Event Series, of course, season tickets will be honored. For tickets or to learn more, phone Donna Gream at (270) 674-4824 or 328-4824 or email her at
