Graves Central 6th graders graduate DARE

Graves County Central Elementary School sixth graders pose with the certificates they earned from completing ten weeks of Drug Abuse Resistance Education. DARE returned to the Graves County Schools in the past year, after an absence of several years. School Resource Officer John Cavin posed with the group and taught their class. He said sixth grade is a prime time to present DARE, since the students will face a larger world in middle school next year. He explained that helping equip students transitioning from childhood to young adult years with ways to stand strong against negative habits is one of the most important things he does in his work.
