Graves Hi's second Family Night March 19

Graves County High School, for the second consecutive year, has cleared the schedule for Family Night, this year on Tuesday, March 19.
“Teachers have been asked to not send any homework and coaches have been asked to not have any practices,” said interim principal Matthew Madding. “Our goal is for everyone to be off our campus by 3:30 p.m., so they can go spend an evening with their families.”
With more than 20 varsity athletic teams, as many junior varsity and freshmen teams, more than 30 other extra-curricular clubs, teams, and organizations, and the demands of homework from a rigorous curriculum, GCHS recognizes that its activities often can present roadblocks to families spending quality time together. Rarely are there nights when some obligation at GCHS does not require many families to adjust their time together.
