Golf scramble 4 Graves Schools April 19

A four-person golf scramble provides participants a day of fun, lunch, and more, all to benefit Graves County Schools’ athletics.
The top three teams win prizes, including $400 for first place, $200 for second, and $100 for third. All members of the top three teams also receive free tickets to the Graves County Eagle Foundation’s Second Annual Night with a Champion, this year featuring Peyton Manning in the Graves County High School Eagles’ Nest Gymnasium at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 20.
The scramble also features 18 hole prizes, door prizes, shirts, Mulligans, and competitions for longest drive, closest to the pin, and longest putt.
Additionally, Jackie Sholar will provide a long drive exhibition. Last fall, he placed third in the world in the senior division at the Re-max Long Drive Competition in Las Vegas, Nev.
The scramble is scheduled for the Mayfield Golf and Country Club Friday, April 19, with registration at 9 a.m. and the shotgun start at 10 a.m.
The entry fee for a team of four is $300-per team. For team registration, sponsorship, or donations, contact GCHS athletic director Doug Gloyd at (270) 674-4884 or 328-4884 or email him at
