Turkey call youth contest set April 6

The Thunder Chickens of West Kentucky Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will host an upcoming “Jakes Day.”

More than $700 in cash and prizes will be awarded.
Age groups will be divided appropriately. Entrants must be 17 and under for the calling contest and 15 and under for the turkey contest.
The Jakes Day event is scheduled for Saturday, April 6. Registration begins at 10 a.m. The competition starts at 11 a.m. It’s all held at H&R Agri-Power, located at 2104 Ky. Highway 121 in Mayfield.
