Symsonia's new principal: Alison Gregory

Symsonia Elementary School’s site-based decision-making council selected Alison Gregory as its new principal Friday afternoon, April 12. She will begin her new duties with the 2013-14 school year, replacing Lisa Gamble, who will retire this summer. Gregory told a library full of teachers and others, “… I’ve had the opportunity to walk through classrooms here with district leadership and that was the moment I knew that this is a place I want to work with these people. And, I use that phrase because we’ve got to work together with one another. I want you all to see me as a colleague, not necessarily always just as principal. You’ve already got a lot of great things going on at this school. My job is to support you and to give you resources and guidance. We also can’t do it without great parents and a great community and we have that here. Together, we’ll continue to work for what’s best for our kids.”
