Fancy Farm sixth graders take DARE

Fancy Farm Elementary School sixth graders show the certificates they recently earned from completing a nine-week course of Drug Abuse Resistance Education. DARE returned to the Graves County Schools a year ago after an absence of several years. John Cavin, the district’s school resource officer, took an extensive training course to be certified as a DARE instructor. He posed with the group after its recent graduation ceremony, along with Barry Rice of the Kentucky State Police and Jeremy Prince of the Graves County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Dewayne Redmon’s office funded the tee-shirts.
