Marshall County natives David Alvey and Josh Tubbs of the Great Compromise will perform a live acoustic show at The Oasis Southwest Grill in Kuttawa on Friday, July 12 at 8 pm.
Tubbs and Alvey have developed a musical relationship over the last 15 years culminating in a mix unique to most audiences. To categorize it as simply singer/songwriter wouldn’t do. The rootsy folk/bluegrass/Texas country/red dirt rock influences of Tubbs paired with the more bluesy/alternative/contemporary rock of Alvey make for a show full of energetic storytelling, broken hearted angst and wild haired willingness. The Great Compromise is perfect for old and new souls alike. Influences include The Civil Wars, Townes Van Zandt, Shaver, Mumford & Sons, Iron and Wine, Phish , The Rolling Stones and Counting Crows, just to name a few.
Alvey and Tubbs perform at 8 pm on July 12 at The Oasis Southwest Grill, 42 Days Inn Drive, Kuttawa, KY. For more information, visit facebook.com/theoasissouthwestgrillkuttawa.
