Graves' Blanco 2 cheer 4 MCU Cougars

Graves County High School 2013 graduate Virginia Blanco was a member of the Graves County Dance Team for two years and served as the senior captain during the 2012-13 school year. Mid-Continent University officials attend a practice last January, where they watched the team perform a dance its members had choreographed. MCU was impressed and that led the scholarship. Pictured here, from left, are Virginia’s mother, Nazaria Blanco; Virginia; her sister, Genie Amador; and her niece, Luna Amador. Standing is Graves dance team coach Kayla Pigg.
