WKEC Receives $10,000 State Farm Grant

On May 27, 2009 the West Kentucky Educational Cooperative accepted a $10,000 grant from State Farm Insurance to conduct a two day seminar on school safety. The seminar is open to all educators from WKEC’s 28 member districts and will concentrate on training participants on how to identify and guide out of harm’s way potentially volatile or violent behavior in our schools. The seminar will be facilitated by the program’s creator, nationally renowned Dan Korem. The program will be held July 28 and 29 at Murray State University’s Martha Layne Collins Center for Industry and Technology. WKEC educators may register for this free seminar at www.wkec.org.
