Sudden Storm Strikes Calloway Co! 0630

A sudden storm ripped through the Coursey family's backyard on State Rt. 121 S in Calloway County on Tuesday, June 30th. Just after 7pm, heavy winds accompanied a hard rain mixed with some hail tore through southeastern Calloway County. Trees were blown across 121 S and area homes were without power for a couple of hours. Within minutes of the storm's passing, the sounds of chainsaws were heard all along county roads as neighbors and local rescue squad volunteers pitched in to remove limbs and trees.
