My husband is a very motivated person. Whenever he does something he puts everything he has into it; whether it is his job, his family, or his interests.
However, his interests got out of hand and he got caught up in soccer for about 10 years! He coached, he organized, he scheduled, he traveled, he played, and he was president of 2 different soccer organziations during this time. He got caught up in it all and lost sight of his family and me--his wife.
After making some bad choices, he realized the kind of man he is and what he needed to do to put his life back in perspective.
He surprised me with a very private wedding ceremony when we went on vacation to Mexico this past December.
He had already bought new rings and wrote the vowels. He was assisted in setting up the chapel at the resort by some friends who gathered flowers from the area and made a boquet for me.
He wrote beatiful vowels and declared his love to me after 16 years of marriage promising the next chapter of our life together would be focused on us and everything else put in its place.
It was the best surprise of my life and made me realize he was really committed to our "new" life and love together.
We realize that we have to do a lot of things to keep our new love strong. We read scripture and other books about what it takes to have a great relationship, we write to each other, and try to be the best husband, wife, father and mother. And it's worth it!
