A resounding BOOM woke me up early this morning (3am) and from the sound, we knew lightning had struck somewhere close. We live in a little place called Suwanee, right outside of the Kuttawa city limits on State Route 810 North. I quickly unplugged all of our electronics, however, we didn't lose any power, so we thought everything was all right. So, after getting a few more hours of sleep, we woke to find our tree had scattered debris all over our road, and neighboring yards, not to mention all over our roof. All of it due to.... a lightning strike.
The tree is five feet from our bedroom window, so us Turners are praising God this morning for His everlasting protection over our home and family. There is no damage to our home that we can see right now, and our daughter was not even awakened by the blast that woke the rest of the neighborhood. Sorry about the debris on the highway, folks, but we have all of it cleaned up now. And we also have some really cool pictures of what a tree looks like after lightning strike from the top to the bottom. Enjoy!
