Jason and I at Steak n Shake

The Love of My Life...Our story.

I always thought I'd be the girl in the movie "21 Dresses" and be in many weddings, but never find the man of my dreams and have my own wedding and family. That all changed a year ago in March! I have always heard that when you find your soulmate, you will know and now I honestly believe that! Jason and I met through a mutual friend, Jana, who wanted to set us up. We talked on the phone for hours and through Myspace and Facebook for a month or so before we ever went on our first date. I had that feeling once I talked to him and met him, that he was definitely the one God had sent for me! I am 36 and Jason is 37 and neither one of us have ever been married or have children. If you ask anyone that knows Jason, they will tell you he is a very giving and compassionate person who loves to help others in anyway he can, enjoys life, will keep you rolling in laughter, and is just a great guy! Jason is a parole officer supervisor and the volunteer fire chief for the Briensberg/Palma Fire Station. He totally amazes me because he constantly volunteers his time to his community and would bend over backwards to help someone! Jason and I both love to laugh and have a good time with friends and family. I am a nursing student and will graduate in December. Two weeks ago, I had the best day of my life when Jason proposed to me and asked me to marry him! I thank God everyday for Jason coming into my life and I can't wait to get married and have a family of my own! We have set our wedding date for February 5th! We didn't want to wait too long to get married and wanted to have it in our home town because I want my grandmother to be able to be there and unfortunately she is in a nursing home. She lived with me for over three years while I started nursing school, until she got to where I wasn't able to leave her at home by herself while I went to class. She is a very brittle diabetic and has really bad hypertension and it just wasn't safe for her to be by herself anymore. If I had my way about it, I'd win the lottery and bring her home with me and pay someone to stay with her when I couldn't! I still go and check on her at the nursing home and make sure she is taken care of, but this has been really hard for me to see her in there and it would mean the world to me to have her at my wedding! I have put myself through RN school, which has been a huge expense and would be delighted to be able to win the wedding giveaway and be able to afford the wedding of my dreams! Thank you for giving us this opportunity and for taking the time to read our story!
