I am submitting this on behalf of my daughter, Kaysin. Her father and I would like to give her the wedding we never had. The white dress, the beautiful cake, family, dancing and the wonderful guests. See we were married when we were 15 and 17 in the judges office. I remember like it was yesterday although it was 23 years ago. As you may have guessed...we were pregnant with our beautiful daughter..."babies having a baby."
We have struggled over the years to give her the kind of childhood we never had. We have dedicated every minute of our lives to each other and to her. We have watched our "babygirl" (that's what we call her) grow up while we have grown up as well. She is our only child...and quite a princess.
I am extremely proud to say she graduated from Murray State University in Decmeber 2009. A huge accomplishment for the child of two teenage parents. And one we're still paying for, by the way! :)
Kaysin met her fiance, Jamie in college. He is the perfect man for her. He compliments her fiery spirit perfectly. He has made her so happy. And we know he'll pick up where we leave off when he becomes her husband.
Jamie asked my husband for her hand in marriage...man to man. I wish I could have seen this exchange, but my husband described it to me as the most honorable moment a father could ask for.
I hope that when you read our story you understand how much my husband and I love our daughter and how her happiness is our main goal.
To have come this far as parents and to have had succeeded despite the odds, we know we only have God to thank. Our lives have been richly blessed.
However to win The Ultimate Wedding for our daughter would be a blessing beyond anything she or we could have imagined.
Thank you for allowing us this wonderful opportunity to make all our dreams come true!!!
