Sons of the American Revolution celebrate Patriot’s Day

The Col. Stephen Trigg Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution spent Saturday honoring those involved in the American Revolution.

Chapter members marked the grave of Private Miles Hollowell of the North Carolina.  Pvt. Hollowell moved to what is now Trigg County with his family after the war.

Patriot’s Day is to remember the first battles of the American Revolution at Lexington and Concord.  This year marks the 239th anniversary of ‘The Shot Heard ‘Round The World.’
