Local union ratifies contract with Honeywell

United Steelworkers Local 7-669 has approved a new contract with Honeywell.

Honeywell spokesperson Peter Dalpe says the union voted to ratify the three-year contract on Friday.

The contract includes a 2% wage increase each year of the contract and a healthcare plan.

Honeywell also says the contract gives them flexibility to use contractors for maintenance work at the plant.

Employees will be returning to work over the next two months. The plant is currently in a maintenance shutdown with production expected to resume on April 1st.
