Murray woman riding motorized mobility scooter injured in crash


MURRAY, KY — A Murray woman was injured when her motorized mobility scooter was involved in a crash.

Around 8:37 p.m. Tuesday, Murray police officers were called to Highway 121 at the Paramount Street intersection on report of a crash.

Officers say 23-year-old Darlene Jackson of Murray was riding a motorized mobility scooter across Highway 121 when she was hit by a car being driven by 27-year-old Rebecca Wright of Murray.

Officers say Jackson pulled out in front of Wright who was not able to avoid hitting the mobility scooter.

Jackson was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
