Paris, Tenn., man charged in grandfather’s murder

PARIS, TN – A Paris, Tennessee, man is in jail Thursday, charged in the murder of his grandfather.

Radio station WENK/WTPR reports that 20-year-old Jeremy Anderson was jailed Thursday morning after he was arrested at the home on Dunlap Street in Paris where he and his grandfather lived.

The station reports that officers went to the house around 11:43 p.m. Wednesday night after someone called 911 saying Anderson had shot and killed his grandfather, Marlin Wallace. When officers arrived, they reportedly found Wallace dead on the kitchen floor. Police were at the scene until after 3 a.m.

Anderson was arrested and jailed in the Henry County Jail on a charge of first degree murder.
