West Kentucky crash claims life of Tennessee woman

EDDYVILLE, KY – State police are investigating a crash in Lyon County, Kentucky, that claimed the life of a young Tennessee woman Wednesday.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday. The Kentucky State Police says 19-year-old Nyreke J. Hutchinson of Clarksville, Tennessee, was driving a 2008 Buick Lacerne east on Interstate 24 when he lost control and hit a guardrail at mile marker 39. A passenger in the Buick, 20-year-old Chatel Dickey, was ejected from the car. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by the Lyon County coroner.

Hutchinson and two other passengers in the car — 19-year-old Antranice Phillips of Clarksville and 20-year-old Mykatela Toliver of Hopkinsville, Kentucky — were taken by ambulance to Caldwell County Hospital. Troopers say their injuries were not life threatening.
