MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY – A crash shortly before 5 p.m. on North Friendship Road in McCracken County sent one person to a local hospital and caused a traffic backup on Lone Oak Road Friday.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says the two-vehicle crash blocked North Friendship Road and Lakeview Drive.

Deputies say 40-year-old Kevin Baker of Paducah was driving a a 2017 Hyundai SUV westbound on North Friendship when 82-year-old Bertha McDonald, also of Paducah, pulled her 1998 Buick into his path. McDonald was attempting to make a right turn onto North Friendship, and deputies say she failed to yield to Baker.

The sheriff’s department did not say which driver was taken to the hospital. We will update this story with that information once we have it.
