Murray man charged with rape in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY – A man wanted for a rape reported on Nov. 26 turned himself in to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday, deputies say.

On Nov. 26, a woman reported to the sheriff’s department she had been raped at a home in the Lone Oak area early that morning.

The sheriff’s department says detectives interviewed the suspect and other people who had been in the home, and they seized evidence including clothing, linens and electronic devices. They then got an arrest warrant for the man, Jantzen Brickeen. They contacted Brickeen’s lawyer, who arranged for him to turn himself in.

Brickeen turned himself in at the sheriff’s department around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7. He is charged with second degree rape, along with a charge of third degree trafficking of a controlled substance.

He was jailed in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
