Storage tank replacement to temporarily close Murray road

MURRAY, KY — A portion of a road in Murray will be closed for several days so that a storage tank at a plant can be replaced.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet say KY 2594/Chestnut Street in Murray will be closed to through traffic between the railroad crossing  and the 1st Street intersection starting Monday, January 29. This is between KY 94/Main Street and US 641-Business/North 4th Street in Murray in front of the Saputo Dairy Foods Plant.

Saptuo Dairy Foods need the road closed to replace a 40,000 gallon storage tank on the plant site.

The road is expected to be closed until about Noon on Saturday, February 3.

There will be a marked detour. Local access for residents and nearby businesses will be maintained on both sides of the closure.

The same section of road will also be closed between February 13 and February 20 so that a second 40,000 gallon storage tank can be replaced.
