Kentucky Oaks Mall announces redevelopment project

PADUCAH — It’s now official.

While we have know that retail chain Burlington planned to open a store in the site of the former Sears at Kentucky Oaks Mall, we now know a development project at the mall is making room for other stores as well.

A spokesperson for Cafaro, the company that owns Kentucky Oaks Mall, says it doesn’t actually own the part of the mall Sears was in. Seritage Growth Properties owns, manages, and leases that facility. That group is developing the space for Burlington, along with space for other retailers and restaurants. Below is a map of the project.

The map also shows the location of the future H&M, which is expected to open in the mall in summer 2019.

Cafaro says Burlington plans to open in time for the 2018 holiday season. The entire mall redevelop project is scheduled to be complete in 2019.
