PADUCAH — A Calvert City man was arrested Tuesday night on charges that he stole more than $500-worth of parts from the Paducah motor sports dealer where he worked.

Paducah police say 37-year-old Joshua Croley is accused of stealing parts from Chase Motorsports on Brown Street and selling them. Police say Croley worked at the business for nine years.

Officers began investigating after the business owner reported the thefts.

An audit to determine the total amount of the theft is still being conducted, but the police department says a detective found enough evidence through the investigation so far to charge Croley with theft by unlawful taking of more than $500 but under $10,000.

Croley was arrested at his home Tuesday night by Calvert City Police and jailed in the Marshall County Jail.
