Paper mill in Wickliffe to reopen

WICKLIFFE, KY — The paper mill in Wickliffe will be reopening, creating 500 full-time jobs.

Verso Corp., the owner of the paper mill, is selling the mill to Global Win Wickliffe LLC, a Chinese-owned paper products manufacturer.

Global Win Wickliffe is buying the mill for approximately $16 million. They plan to refurbish the mill with new equipment and updated technology.

Plans are to reopen the mill by the end of 2018, with the facility making pulp and brown paper packaging.

The mill has been closed since July of 2016.
