Two men arrested after search for robbery suspects

UPDATE: Austin Jones is now in custody.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Department says Kentucky State Police arrested Jones in Clinton, Kentucky.


GRAVES COUNTY, KY — One person has been arrested in connection to a robbery in Graves County, another suspect is still being sought.

Graves County Sheriff’s deputies say two men broke into a home on Piney Point Street just south of Mayfield Monday afternoon.

Both of the men had handguns and robbed the home.

Deputies arrested one of the men, 21-year-old Pedro Villegas III, Tuesday morning at a local Mayfield restaurant.

Villegas confessed to the robbery and was taken to the Graves County Jail on charges of robbery 1st degree and tampering with physical evidence.

Deputies are still looking for the other suspect, 22-year-old Austin Jones of Clinton.

Jones is 5’5″ tall, weighs approximately 130 pounds, has long brown hair, and hazel eyes.
