Author who wrote ‘How to Murder Your Husband’ arrested in husband’s death

(CNN) – This could have been written in the pages of a book.

Police in Oregon arrested a romance novelist for allegedly killing her husband.

Nancy Crampton-Brophy is currently being held in Portland on charges of murder and unlawful use of a weapon.

Police say the 68 year old shot Daniel Brophy at the Oregon Culinary Institute where he worked.

He died at the scene.

In an ironic twist, Crampton-Brophy once wrote an essay titled “How to Murder Your Husband.”

She is expected back in Multnomah County court on September 17th.
