HOPKINS COUNTY, KY — One person was killed and two others were injured in a two car crash Tuesday evening.

Around 5:38 p.m., Hopkins County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a crash at the intersection of Charleston Road and Niles Road.

Deputies say 59-year-old Ronald Burton of Woodburn was driving a pickup truck pulling a large trailer south on Charleston Road when a car pulled into his path.

The pickup truck hit the driver’s side of the car. The driver of the car, 23-year-old Tika Brothers of Dawson Springs, and a four-year-old boy were both seriously injured and taken from the scene by helicopter.

Brothers was later pronounced dead at a hospital. The boy was last listed in stable condition at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

Burton was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
