Flu clinics to be held in southern IL next month

JACKSON COUNTY, IL — The Jackson County Health Department says it is now providing flu shots on a walk-in basis.

Those who want a shot can get one from 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and until 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Flu shot clinics will also be held throughout the month of October. You can see a list of those clinics below.

An annual flu shot is recommended for everyone 6 months of age and above.

The flu vaccine is free for anyone with Medicare B, Medicaid, state employees, and state retirees. The health department also accepts most types of health insurance.
