City commission incumbent breaks rule during debate
PADUCAH, KY– Local 6 has learned that not all of the rules were followed during Thursday evening’s Great Debate of Paducah.
Yvonne Gray, the chairwoman of the debate committee, says she confirmed with Commission Candidates Raynarldo Henderson and Scott Jackson—both sat next to Holland during the debate—and several audience members who knew the rules, that Commissioner Sarah Stewart Holland had prepared notes with her while she sat on the panel. Henderson was seated next to Stewart Holland during the debate. The guidelines for the debate stated that “the candidates may not bring notes to the debate.”
Holland responded on her Facebook page, saying she didn’t review the guidelines and didn’t know notes were prohibited.
Hear from Sarah Stewart Holland, Yvonne Gray, and Commission Candidate Scott Jackson—who was seated to the left of Holland— on Local 6 at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
