Two minor earthquakes within hours

We have experienced two minor earthquakes, both on Thursday morning, near the New Madrid Seismic Zone.

The United States Geological Survey says there was an M2.3 earthquake at 1:52 a.m. Thursday in northwest Tennessee near Dyersburg.

The agency then reported an M2.2 earthquake at 9:10 a.m. in southeast Missouri near Sikeston.

It can be difficult to feel an earthquake that is lower than M2.5 but it can be felt slightly by some people.
