Kentucky to start issuing secure driver’s licenses this spring

KENTUCKY — In just a few months, you’ll be able to get a REAL ID compliant driver’s license in Kentucky.

The Kentucky Department of Transportation says the new voluntary travel ID licenses will be rolling out gradually beginning in March.

REAL ID compliant licenses will be required to board flights or visit military bases starting October 1, 2020.

  • Ballard: April 1 – April 5
  • Caldwell: April 15 – April 19
  • Calloway: April 8 – April 12
  • Carlisle: April 1 – April 5
  • Christian: April 1 – April 5
  • Crittenden: April 15 – April 19
  • Fulton: April 1 – April 5
  • Graves: April 8 – April 12
  • Livingston: April 22 – April 26
  • Lyon: April 22 – April 26
  • McCracken: April 15 – April 19
  • Marion: March 25 – March 29
  • Marshall: April 1 – April 5
  • Trigg: April 22 – April 26
  • Union: April 15 – April 19
